Skill Center's 30 Minute Hitting Routine

What do Todd Helton, Robby Alomar, Moises Alou all have in common? They are all solid hitters and are also students of the game. They love to talk and listen to new ideas. Every hitting drill that they do is done with maximum effort.

Every young kid enjoys hitting more than he or she like doing defensive drills. No matter what physique you posses anyone can become a quality hitter. The different skills can be practiced and honed. As a young hitter the fundamentals need to be learned so that when you are older and more mature, the transition with making adjustments will come easier and more successfully. Before the game starts, study the pitcher and what pitches he throws in certain counts, so that when you get in the box you won’t be fooled. Instead of fouling off a pitch you will line-it up the middle. Preparation in hitting is key. In baseball you have to work together to score runs and win. When you are at the plate look and see what you have to do as a hitter. Do you need to move a guy over? What does the situation call for?
