  The Davis Family 



 
On October 1, 2007 the Davis Family took over the Skill Center and are so excited to bring their knowledge of baseball, training, and many other collegiate and professional aspects into the Skill Center. 
 
Allen and Nikki Davis both played Division I collegiate ball.  Allen graduated from Red Oak High School and Nikki graduated from Duncanville High School.  Allen was drafted in the 44th round by the Chicago Cubs, however, he chose to attend college first.  Allen played two years at Dallas Baptist University and two years at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.  Nikki played soccer at the University of Texas.  Allen was drafted in the 24th round by the Los Angeles, Dodgers following his Senior year of college.    After 10 years of professional baseball, Allen

 Allen was drafted by the Chicago Cubs

out of Red Oak High School in 1994.  He passed up the pros to

attend Dallas Baptist University. 

  

  Allen was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers following his Senior Year of College at Northwestern State University.  The Dodgers drafted Allen in the 24th round.  Allen,

in his first season with the Dodgers began at the Rookie Ball Level

and was promoted through the ranks all the way to the AA Level

by the end of his first short season.  Allen was the first player in

Los Angeles Dodger history to go from Rookie Ball to AA Ball in

his first year of Pro Ball.

 

 Allen was purchased by the Montreal Expos after the 2000 season in the Rule 5 Winter Draft.  He began his career with the Expos in 2001 as a starter.
